Adiponectin (Adiponectin, ADP,ADPN,ADN) is a hormone secreted by adipocytes and is thought to exist in the blood circulation in different forms, of which multimers are the main active form. It has the physiological functions of regulating glucose metabolism, anti-inflammatory response, anti-atherosclerosis and so on. It is a comprehensive index to reflect the body's physiological and metabolic health, and has important value for early risk screening, condition monitoring and prognosis evaluation of type II diabetes.

Adiponectin consists of 244 amino acids and has a molecular weight of approximately 30 kDa(28-30 kDa). The adiponectin molecule has four domains: the N-terminal secretory signal sequence (aa 1-18), the specific sequence (aa19-41), the collagen repeat sequence (aa 42-107), and the globular sequence (aa108-244). The globular region is the key site of the biological activity of adiponectin.

Clinical significance of adiponectin
Adiponectin is an important regulator of lipid and carbohydrate metabolism, with anti-diabetic, anti-inflammatory and anti-atherosclerosis properties. Studies have shown that in the case of clinical symptoms such as obesity, type II diabetes (T2DM), cardiovascular disease, and dyslipidemia, a significant decrease in adiponectin levels can screen out high-risk people in the pre-diabetes period 4-7 years in advance. This stage is the reversible stage of the natural course of diabetes, which can effectively prevent and control the occurrence of diabetes and realize the primary prevention of type II diabetes.

The stability of the antigen was tested by using the adiponectin detection kit (latex enhanced immunoturbidimetric method) developed by Nanjing Liding Medical Technology Co., Ltd. The results showed that the adiponectin antigen was frozen and thawed 4 times at -40 ℃, and the deviation was within 5%. Accelerate the investigation for 7 days at 37 ℃, and the deviation is within 10% (compare with imported antigen at the same time, the one-day deviation of acceleration at 37 ℃ is more than 10%, and it continues to decrease with the increase of time); The deviation is within 10% when stored at 2-8 ℃ for 2 months.
